What I Spent Today | Friday 4th September 2015

It was my big brother's Birthday on Monday. I had planned to take him up in a Hot Air Balloon over Bristol as a surprise, but on the morning of his Birthday the weather was crappy so it got cancelled.

Luckily for us, there was a spot free for the Friday evening flight. It was awesome!! We got to see so much of the city and my bro had a great time. Love it when a plan comes together, eventually!

We flew with Bristol Balloons in case you're interested.

Rich (my bro) treated me to Fish and Chips after we landed, yum!

£3.30 Chai Latte and a Welsh Cake at Coffee#1

What I Spent Today | Thursday 3rd September 2015

Today I got lost in the Beauty Aisle at TK Maxx!

£3.99 Good Things Manuka Honey Body Butter (RRP £5.99)
£3.99 Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil (£8.99 in Boots)
£3.99 Peter Coppola Full Round Curl Brush
£4.99 Yes To Cucumbers Body Wash (Usually £7.99)

I prefer to buy more "natural" products if I can, so the "Good Things" and "Yes to" brands are great affordable options. Both are free from Parabens, SLS and Mineral Oils.

I bought the Cuticle Oil as my hands (and cuticles) get really dry with the change of season. I don't get manicures often, so its up to me to keep those cuticles looking good!

Finally, I picked up the Peter Coppola Brush. I really want to learn to blow-dry my hair like a pro!! This looks like a good size to start with.

£4.55 Dairystix from Amazon (For Airbnb Guests)
£6.49 Compostable Caddy Bin Liners from Amazon

We provide tea and coffee on our top floor for our Airbnb guests - I've yet to figure out a way to provide fresh milk so that it won't go off (or I won't have to change it every few hours), so Dairystix it is for now.

And lastly, Caddy Liners. All our food waste is collected where we live in Bristol. I found the least messy way to do this is with these caddy liners.

Today's Total - £28

What I Spent Today | Wednesday 2nd September 2015

Today was the first-step on my journey to fully straight teeth!! I know my teeth aren't really bad but I have a couple that are slightly crooked, and I would also like them to be a bit whiter for the Big Day.

I had an appointment with an Orthodontist at my local surgery, and we discussed Invisalign. She quoted £3,500 which is just too much for what I feel my teeth need - I was hoping for slight adjustment, not complete overhaul!

I spoke to my future Sister-In-Law about it, as she had something similar done before her big day. I ended up going to see her lovely dentist Alison at Sleep Lane Smiles in Bristol. Alison recommended Clear Aligners that would cost a lot less. I have to see how many liners I will need before I get the full cost but it's likely to be less than £1000, so a LOT cheaper than Invisalign!

£300 - Consultation and Impressions (Dental Treatment)
£3.75 - Sushi from M&S for Lunch
£1.54 - Fruit from Tesco (For our Airbnb Guests)
£3.25 - Birthday Card for my Friend
90p - Paracetamol from local Pharmacy
£15 - Contribution to Friends' Birthday Present
£2.58 - Jute Twine from Amazon (For the Wedding)
£11.98 - Fairy Lights from Amazon (For the Wedding)

£339 - Total

What I Spent Today | Tuesday 1st September 2015

Today was a #feelinspendy kind of day....although there were some great bargains that I stumbled across just begging to come home with me - so they did!!

Here's the deets:

£31.20 - Rodial Dragon's Blood Hyaluronic Mask (Usually £39)

Marks & Spencer have a 20% off Beauty Event on at the moment. They have a great selection of mid-range and luxury brands in their Beauty Hall, including my favourites Ren, Rodial and Dr. Hauschka. Check it out if you haven't already!

Nothing too exciting here. I'm really enjoying using my Garnier Micellar Water at the moment to remove my eye make-up before cleansing and these come in handy for that!

£31.17 - Office Cecilia Toe-Cap Ballerina Pumps (Usually £56)

I spotted these lovely ballerina pumps on the sale rack at the Office concession in House of Fraser. They were marked down to £44.80 (20% off), I also had a £5 voucher on my Recognition Points card, and a gift card with £8.63 from a previous exchange. Total bargain! They are still full price on the Office website.

They are perfect for smart/casual at the weekends. Love 'em!

£10 - Contribution to Leaving Gift for Work Colleague
£3 - Parking at Cabot Circus
£3.60 - Drink at The Grain Barge
